During the transfer, the work roll with bearings is placed on the receiving table, with the bearings suspended relative to the tables. Then, the tables for lifting-lowering the bearings move until the gap between the inner bearing ring and the roll journals is loosened. The bearings are fixed on the table. After that, the bearing mounting-disassembly tables move apart until the bearing housing with the bearing clears the work roll's journals. The stand has two workstations. The work roll from one receiving table is removed by a crane for grinding. Meanwhile, another roll can be placed at the adjacent workstation, allowing assembly of the roll after moving to the free zone (if the bearings are in good condition).
