November 28-29, 2023 - the XV International Technical Conference, organized by LLC "UrIC" (Chelyabinsk), was held under the theme "Current Problems and Solutions in the Technical Re-equipment of Hydraulically Powered Equipment in Modern Conditions." The event was supported by the Ministry of Industry, New Technologies, and Natural Resources of the Chelyabinsk Region.
80+ participants, 20+ speakers.
Holding conferences dedicated to hydraulic drive issues has become a tradition for LLC "UrIC." The XV conference focused on pressing challenges faced by every industrial enterprise in Russia today: import substitution, supply of technological equipment and components, and adaptation to new conditions.
The conference began with an opening speech by the President of the UrIC group of companies, Valery Vladimirovich Bodrov. "I believe that such meetings are essential now for us to hear each other and exchange opinions," said V.V. Bodrov. He also spoke about the high-level and complex projects currently being implemented, which in many cases match (and sometimes surpass) the characteristics of foreign counterparts.
The first series of presentations was dedicated to equipment for forging and pressing production. Ekaterina Vladimirovna Mikhailova, Commercial Director of the Foundry and Forging Division of the KONA Industrial Group, showcased the division's production competencies. Today, the division comprises three enterprises, including the Steel Foundry "BVK" and the "Modern Forging Technologies" enterprise located within the "Stankomash" Industrial Park in Chelyabinsk. With a modern approach, the enterprise currently produces unique parts and casings and participates in global-scale projects.
The Technical Director of LLC "UrIC" shared his experience in performing major repairs and equipment modernization to improve the quality of forging and pressing production. The discussion was continued by the Chief Designer, Vladimir Iosifovich Telal, who detailed the extensive range of shut-off and control valves developed by the specialists of LLC "UrIC" for presses. This equipment serves as a replacement for foreign valves.
Professor Sergey Borisovich Sapozhnikov's presentation on assessing the strength of press equipment sparked considerable interest among the participants. Often, when modernizing equipment, customers aim to increase pressing force or maximum speed, but this cannot always be achieved without compromising the metal structure. The presentation featured a case comparing calculated and experimental values when increasing the press force.
The next block of the conference focused on the challenges of hydraulic descaling. Sergey Ivanovich Smyshlyaev, Head of Production Liaison at LLC "UrIC," outlined current trends in modernizing descaling systems and highlighted the key problems specialists face at production sites.
Alexey Nikolaevich Mameev, Chief Engineer of "Techmet," presented the modern production of TETRA nozzles for hydraulic descaling systems in Russia. The company has been developing and manufacturing nozzles for metallurgical companies for over 15 years. TETRA products are designed based on the company's accumulated engineering and technological experience rather than being replicas of other manufacturers' nozzles. The products are compatible with imported analogs and do not require any modifications to the existing equipment for installation.
One of LLC "UrIC"'s areas of expertise is the development and manufacture of test stands for full-scale pipe durability tests. Chief Engineer, Ph.D., Alexander Alekseevich Baturin, discussed the capabilities of modern equipment and the level of project implementation in this field.
The presentations then shifted to stretch-forming presses used in the aviation industry. Ivan Vladimirovich Bukharov, Chief Project Engineer at LLC "UrIC," and Alexey Alexandrovich Baturin, Head of the Automation and Control Systems Department, presented projects for modernizing stretch-forming presses. The aim is to upgrade control systems to a modern technical level to realize the advantages of technological initiatives and shape the contours of sheet parts with specified geometric forms and minimal thickness variation.
A special block of presentations focused on manufacturers of equipment and hydraulic system components. Fan Zengxiang, Director of the Hydraulics Department at China's Zhejiang Langke Intelligent Equipment, introduced CNC machines for component manufacturing. Zhang Haozhan, a representative of Xinxiang Shengda Filtration Technique, showcased a line of filtration equipment for supply to Russia. Meanwhile, Zhang Hua, Director of Nanjing Runk Machinery Co., Ltd., presented equipment for lubrication and cooling of working fluids in hydraulic drives.
The Director of the Representative Office, Andrey Vladimirovich Sochnev, presented the latest developments in an intelligent servo pump system that simplifies hydraulic circuits and significantly enhances the technological process of various units, depending on their application. Deputy Director Mikhail Yuryevich Machuzhak showcased a range of explosion-proof electrohydraulics that meet modern international standards. The company's equipment is well-known in the Russian market and has a proven track record at many metallurgical plants.
Ruslan Shamilovich Dokudaev, Chief Designer at NPP "Temp" named after F. Korotkov, introduced a new development in servo-proportional hydraulics: the first series of high-tech proportional servo valves of domestic production. The valve is now available for order, allowing industrial enterprises to address import substitution issues.
Professor Dmitry Valeryevich Ardashev of South Ural State University and Kirill Vladimirovich Suvorov, Lead Designer at LLC "UrIC," introduced a project to produce hydraulic drives with hydrostatic guides. Currently, a workshop has been launched for the production of hydraulic cylinders with hydrostatic guides.
Denis Vladimirovich Borisov presented a complete range of filters for mobile machinery and industrial equipment. The company has been operating since 1991 and is ready to supply high-quality products that meet the strict cleanliness requirements for working fluids (including servo-hydraulics). The filters have demonstrated high reliability in production.
Anatoly Nikolaevich Bikishov, Director of the Intekprom Division, discussed the list of frequency converters and complete drive systems currently available for order.
Grigory Vladimirovich Pozhidaev, Lead Engineer at LLC "UrIC," discussed the urgent issue of rolling production – the installation of an automated stand for roll assembly and disassembly. This separate line of technological equipment, developed by UrIC engineers, prevents downtime and damage associated with manual assembly.
