In 2005, the first trial enterprise was established in collaboration with SMS Siemag AG at the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant. Downtime due to such service maintenance and optimization decreased significantly.
Subsequently, the Ural Engineering Center successfully provided services at:
OAO "Chelyabinsk Pipe Plant" (ChTPZ), Chelyabinsk
A service division of UrIC was established at OAO "ChTPZ" (Chelyabinsk) in 2005. Maintenance was conducted for hydraulic equipment and control systems in the pipe welding shops No. 1 and No. 6. The service accepted the following equipment: fore-rollers from the pilger mill, testing presses for pipes, pipe-cutting and coupling-cutting machines, a pipe beveling installation, mechanical expanders, and transport mechanization. Gradual modernization of the serviced units was carried out to eliminate design flaws identified during operation. In 2006, newly installed equipment was additionally transferred to the service: Kolomna press for pipe testing, new transport trolleys, and a pipe cutting machine.

The arc steel melting furnace DSP-25 and a forging complex (press with a capacity of 2000 tons and a left manipulator) were transferred to the service.

In 2008, all shop equipment (529 units) was transferred to service, as well as the acquisition of spare parts and fuel and lubricants.

In 2013, a service center was created and is successfully developing at AO "EVRAZ-NTMK" - LLC "Ural Engineering Center - NT".
Currently, the center provides round-the-clock technical maintenance and repair of hydraulic and lubrication systems in six main shops of AO "EVRAZ NTMK": Blast Furnace Shop, Converter Shop No. 1, Wheelbandage Shop, Large Section Shop, Rail and Beam Shop, Wide Beam Rolling Shop. The total number of service employees is 229 specialists.
A section for the repair of hydraulic equipment has been organized at UrIC-NT: stands for diagnostics and testing of hydraulic equipment, servo and proportional hydraulics have been manufactured and supplied, as well as a repair and mechanical workshop equipped with modern machinery, a surfacing and restoration section for worn-out parts.
Since 2016, LLC UrIC-NT has been participating in major repairs conducted in the shops of AO "EVRAZ NTMK."
- On continuous casting machines (CCM) No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, No. 4 of the Converter Shop;
- Ladle furnace and vacuum units of the Converter Shop;
- Hydraulic and lubrication systems of the Rail and Beam Shop, Wide Beam Rolling Mill, and Ball Rolling Mill;
- UAZ installations of the Large Section Shop;
- Equipment complex of the press-rolling line in the Wheelbandage Shop, banding mill, and LKB.
In 2017, LLC UrIC-NT will participate for the first time in major repairs in the Blast Furnace Shop of Blast Furnace No. 5.
The quality of repairs conducted by specialists of AO "EVRAZ NTMK" is highly rated. As a result, the plant has reduced downtime, eliminated leaks in the equipment, decreased oil consumption, timely prevented accidents, and optimized the procurement of spare parts and consumables.
Currently, mobile teams have been established and are operating in UrIC-NT on specially equipped vehicles. This allows for a quick response to requests for troubleshooting at any enterprise.
At present, round-the-clock technical maintenance and repair of hydraulic and lubrication system equipment is being carried out in the main shops of AO "EVRAZ NTMK": Blast Furnace Shop, Converter Shop, Wheelbandage Shop, Wide Beam Rolling Shop, Rail and Beam Shop, Large Section Shop. Specialists of UrIC-NT conduct major repairs of units, participate in equipment modernization and investment projects of the plant.
Additionally, a project is being developed to equip the plant's equipment with modern communication tools and information technologies that would link to phones and smartphones, working in online mode.
